Lessons
Private and Semi-Private Lessons
All students start in private (one student) 1/2 hour lessons. Private lessons provide the opportunity for individualized assessment and training and focus on the partnership between the horse or pony and rider. Semi-private (two students) can also be arranged.

Group Lessons
Group lessons are by special arrangement only. They usually last for one hour and consist of technical instruction on flatwork, with or without jumping, dependent on the experience of the riders and the instructor's discretion. During Interscholastic Equestrian Association season (September through February), team members have weekly group practice.

Safety is our top concern. All students must wear an ASTM/SEI Certified helmet, boots with heels, and riding pants or breeches while mounted. A liability waiver must also be signed by either the student or a parent/guardian. In addition, to minimize risk to people and animals on the premises, we practice and require safe behaviors such as walking rather than running, wearing close-toed shoes, keeping aisles clear, avoiding harsh and sudden sounds, and maintaining reasonable exercise regimens for the horses and ponies considering weather conditions.
